No more worries or frustrations to deal with. The PIRANA will keep your new septic system from failure. You can dramatically reduce pumping of your septic tank. Think of the money you will save. The PIRANA system is easy to install and maintain; it fits right into your septic tank or primary cesspool. No big excavations or upheaval to landscaping.

Installation:

A typical installation of a Pirana Aerobic Bacterial Generator is in the outlet chamber of your septic tank. It can be installed in the inlet chamber, but we recommend installation in the outlet. If you only have a cesspool, the Pirana can be installed in a cesspool as well.

A typical installation includes the following:

  • If there are no manholes on your septic tank, we will install them on both the inlet and outlet ends of your septic tank up to the surface for easy maintenance access. Note: if you have a cesspool, we can also build a manhole on the top of it as well.
  • Once the septic tank is open, it will need to be pumped in order to remove any toxic substances before the installation of the Pirana.
  • We will than lower the Pirana unit into your septic tank, where it will sit on the bottom of the septic tank. In a cesspool installation, we will suspend it into the cesspool to the depth desired.
  • The air pump can be located in a variety of different areas. Sometimes it will be located on a garage shelf, or in a utility box above ground near the house and close to an outside electrical outlet. If you don't have an outside electrical outlet, on can be installed.
  • The air pump runs twenty-four hours a day and is nearly silent.  The air pump produces two cubic feet of air at four PSI. We install ½ inch PVC pipe from the air pump to the Pirana in your septic tank. The pipe running to the Pirana will typically be 8-10 inches deep below the surface and even if it is broken or damaged, there is no danger as the air flowing through it is at a very low pressure.
